TRAINING
Last few years have seen exponential growth of telecom, especially cellular communications in the Country. Tele density has jumped manifold to 16%, Even after this, exponential growth continues, scope of growth, therefore, is immense and whilst, the main equipment hardware and software is obtained from OEM MNCs, gap between available and trained manpower is increasing every day. Our Engineering Colleges do produce a large number of telecom and IT engineers. However they need specialized training to be usefully employed in the cellular industry.

Infinite Telesolutions Private Limited (ITS) being a major vendor of managed telecom services, needs a large number of trained engineers. With this in view, a training facility was created in June 2006 to train young graduate engineers in specific requirements of cellular industry. This had a capacity of 16 students for a course of 23 working days. Progressively not only has the requirement of engineers for ITS grown manifold, many engineers trained by it have also found employment in renowned companies like Ericsson, Aircom, Siemens, Reliance ADAG, Satyam etc. ITS now provides training to the following areas

Mobile Communication System
a) Fundamentals Mobile communication systems.
b) Electramegnatic wave propagation and Antennae Theory.
c) FDM / TDM CDM principle for GSM / CDMA systems.
d) System Architecture & building Blocks.
e) Signalling Principle.
f) Radio Resource Management including Handover.
g) Security aspect of Mobile Communication.
RF Planning & Surveys :
a) Planning process for RF Sub system and radio transmission links
b) RF & Radio Link Surveys methodology
c) Use of Sale Master & Link budgeting tools

Drive Testing
a) Introduction to GSM / CDMA / EVDD Drive Testing Tools
b) Measurements of key radio parameters e.g Rx/Tx Power, Ec/Io, SINR etc
c) Post processing of DT date & mapping iton MapInfo based major to show problem area like undershooting / own shootingcells, SWAPS etc.

Benchmarking

a) Data collection from multiple networks
b) Computation of KBP accessibility, Retainability, HD Success rate, Date connection Delay
c) SWOT analysis of various networks
d) Measurements of parameter for Data Application e.g. GPRL attach, PDP context activation, Delays measurement for specified events.
e) Trapping & analysis of Layer 2 and Layer 3 measure.
f) Advanced topic like mobile measurement based network stimulation and optimization.
